My Soul's On Fire!

The cheese slicer violin of Don Sugarcane Harris combines with Paul "Fast Foot" Lagos, live at UC Davis Circa 1971. I remember very well when
this song was created. It's aperfect example of Paul acting like a hip Jack Black in the School of Rock, a movie I just saw. Harvey Mandel
made up this lick and Paul was like "yeah, that's it, play that lick, yeah...". So was created probably the only 10/4 rock shuffle that
everyone loved from the first time they heard it. Harvey wasn't on a couple of PFDA gigs and this was one of those.

The tape ends and has to turned over, sorry for the interruption.

In spite of the horrible audio quality and the way the shit sounds today, people were spell bound, swaying back and forth en masse in
front of the stage while we improvised for hours on one tune like this. They even put up with the Schoenberg shit towards the end that
morphs into blues licks in A! We were in the moment and we took them with us Nice ending, eh? :)
